
While working in my yard down near the road, I found this nest, waist-high, in a PeeGee Hydrangea bush. There were four BEAUTIFUL speckled blue eggs, and I immediately went for my camera.........

Two days later, I returned to find these four tiny, helpless baby birds. They were featherless and you could see every bone in their bodies. |

The next day, I was greeted by open mouths, looking for food. I saw the mother bird across the road in a tree, keeping watch. |

Several days passed and I was enchanted to find that the babies had grown considerably and had feathers. They appear bluish in this pic; perhaps from the lighting at the time. |

Just nine days after we first discovered the nest, the four fluffy babies are SO big that the nest can hardly contain them. I suspect that the next time I check, they will be gone......... |
