CHEEKWOOD

On Sat., May 24, the White County Garden Club rented a 15-passenger van and headed to Cheekwood Botanical Gardens in Nashville. The weather was PERFECT, the flowers were BEAUTIFUL, and everyone had an enjoyable day. Anyone here look familiar?

Burgundy astibile, a natural choice for a shady spot.

A near-perfect example of the purple coneflower or echinacea .

A tall, spikey flower with no name...........yet.

Of all the flowers I saw, this was my very favorite. It was quite tall and a two-toned lavender, and grew in clumps. It is likely acanthus-mollis, I've been told.

Song: "Eidelweiss"
